Nader
Soliman, M.D. - Director and Primary Instructor
Dr. Soliman
is Director of the Washington Alternative Medicine and Integrated
Pain Management Center in Rockville, Maryland and an Anesthesiology
Pain Medicine and Medical Acupuncture specialist. He has taught
physicians with a particular interest in integrating auricular medicine
into biomedical and medical acupuncture practices to create practical
and efficient therapeutic protocols for pain and medical problems.
Dr. Soliman is the President of the American Academy of Medical
Acupuncture. He has taught extensively across the U.S. and is regarded
as one of the leading experts in the field of auricular medicine.
Richard
C. Niemtzow, Colonel, (USAF), MC, FS, MD - Participating Instructor
Dr. Niemtzow
is President of the Medical Acupuncture Research Foundation, Executive
Editor of the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine,
and he has been the Editor-in-Chief of the American Academy of Medical
Acupuncture since 1997. As a USAF Colonel and Flight Surgeon, he
was Chief of Hospital Services in NM, and Medical Operations Squadron
Commander in NJ and CA. He currently practices medical acupuncture
full time at Andrews Air Force Base. His published research includes
the use of acupuncture and auricular medicine in treating obesity,
cancers, and xerostomia.
