Recent clinical studies have supported the efficacy of treating
patients suffering from Xerostomia following radiation therapy for
malignancy with special techniques using Auricular Therapy and some
body acupuncture points, even in cases refractory to pilocarpine
therapy. Patients with excessive dryness of the mouth and eyes from
other etiological problems, as in cases of Sjogren’s Syndrome,
may also respond favorably to this unique approach. Approaches to
treat other difficult eye diseases such as; macular degeneration,
glaucoma and optic neuritis will be discussed.

Practitioners, especially those using KHT, will be introduced to
a Three Phase Hand Acupuncture Microsystem recently discovered by
Dr. Soliman. Like the three phase Auricular Therapy system, the
hand projects body organs in three different phases depending on
the patho-physiology. KHT only offers one of those three phases.
Practitioners will become familiar with the additional two phases.
Understanding these different projections on the hand microsystem
